Question 1

Can I transfer my whole Vimeo library at once?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once your library loads, set the page size to All, tick the select-all box, choose a Drive folder, and start. The transfers run on our servers, so you can close the tab and come back later. On a later run, the New filter shows only the videos you haven't transferred yet.

Question 2

I bought a pack for one tool. Does it work for the other?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A pack is capacity, not a license for one tool. The same balance covers Vimeo to Google Drive and Vimeo to your own disk, and you can spend it on whichever you like, in any mix.

Question 3

Does downloading the same video twice cost me twice?

Accepted Answer

No. Capacity is drawn down the first time a video moves. Send it to Drive and then to your disk, reorganize into a different folder, re-run a batch after a failed drive, grab a file you deleted: none of that costs you again. Only videos you have not moved before draw down capacity.

Question 4

Is this legal?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You own your videos and have every right to move them wherever you want. We just make it dramatically faster than doing it manually.

Question 5

Why one-time pricing?

Accepted Answer

Because most people use this once. You're leaving Vimeo, not subscribing to another service. Buy the capacity you need, migrate, done. Need more later? Just buy another pack. The whole point is to escape recurring charges, not collect another one.

Question 6

Do you store my videos?

Accepted Answer

No. Videos stream directly from Vimeo to Google Drive through our servers in real-time. Nothing is saved to disk. The file goes from Vimeo's CDN, through our memory in 256KB chunks, straight to Google Drive. Zero bytes touch our hard drives.

Question 7

How fast is server mode really?

Accepted Answer

Server mode runs between data centers at multi-gigabit speeds. A 600GB library that takes 14 hours on a typical home connection moves in 30 to 40 minutes through our servers. The bottleneck becomes Vimeo's API rate limits, not bandwidth.

Question 8

What if a transfer fails?

Accepted Answer

Failed transfers don't count against your capacity. We use Google Drive's resumable uploads, so interrupted transfers pick up from the last successful byte. You only pay for what completes.

Question 9

Why do my videos play in 360p in Google Drive?

Accepted Answer

That's Drive's preview player, not your file. Drive builds its own low-resolution copy of every video for streaming in the browser, starting at 360p, and for long or large videos it often never finishes the higher-resolution ones. Your original is untouched. To check, right-click the video in Drive, open File information, and look at the dimensions: a real 360p file reads 640 x 360, while yours will show its true size, like 1920 x 1080. Download the file, or open it through Google Drive for desktop, and it plays at full quality. We always transfer the highest-quality file Vimeo offers for each video.

Question 10

Does it keep my Vimeo folder structure?

Accepted Answer

Yes, by default. Each video lands in a Drive folder named after its Vimeo folder, created automatically inside the destination you pick. Repeat transfers reuse the same folders instead of creating duplicates. Prefer everything in one flat folder? Turn folder preservation off next to the folder picker.

Question 11

Do I need to create an account?

Accepted Answer

You sign in with Google so we can remember your purchase and send your files to your Drive. No extra password, no profile, no email list. Your purchase is tied to your Google email.

Question 12

Does it work with a free Vimeo account?

Accepted Answer

No. Vimeo only provides video file downloads through its API on Standard, Advanced, or Enterprise (or legacy Pro, Business, or Premium). Free, Starter, and Plus accounts don't include API download access, so there's no way for us to retrieve your video files. If you're on one of those, upgrade to Standard on Vimeo first, even just for a month.
